Steamed Bao

Ingredients

Maida - 2 1/2 cups
Fresh yeast - 30 gms
Sugar - 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil - 2 tbsp

Method

Take flour in a bowl. Make a well in the centre and add yeast and sugar in it. Add oil. Put a little warm water and make a soft dough. Cover the dough with a warm cloth and let it rest for 25-30 mins. Knead the dough again and flatten it using a rolling pin. Cut roundels as per your required shape. Spray oil on to it and put a piece of parchment paper in between and fold it into half. Press it from bottom little with a rolling pin and put it in a steamer. Let it steam for 5-10 mins. Let it cool down and use your desired filling. Serve hot.
