How to cook quinoa

Quinoa, popularly known as superfood is a protein rich , glueten free , full of fibre substitute. The nutrients present in quinoa makes is a great food for weight loss and treating many other digesti issues. It works magically for skin and health. This magnesium rich grain plays a great role in bone formation also. Now, comes the big question- how to cook quinoa. Since this old grain is gaining a lot of popularity now. So, I am sharing some basic recipes on how to add this superfood in our daily life.
First, before cooking always wash quinoa 2-3 times nicely and rinse properly. Always soak it for atleast 1-2 hours. Now, comes the boiling point. I recommend 1:2 ratio for boiling it well. For 1 cup quinoa add two cups of waters and cook on low heat till it becomes translucent in colour. Remember it expands while cooking so always take the quantity accordingly. Now, rinse it in a colander.
Here are few simple wa to incorporate quinoa in your diet.
