Traditional coffee cake

Ingredients:

Flour-11/2cups
Baking powder-11/2tsp
Eggs-3
Butter-3/4cup
Sugar3/4cup
Coffee powder-2tbsp
Water-1/3cup
Rum-2tbsp
Almonds-a few

Method:

Flavourful Twist

Grease a 7″round cake tin.mix sugar ,coffee,water in a big pan and heat till sugar dissolves.remove from fire and add rum to it.

Sieve flour with baking powder.

Beat egg whites till stiff. now beat butter and egg yolks untill creamy.add sugar coffee syrup. stir in sifted flour. Fold egg whites gently. Transfer this mixture to the dusted tin . Bake in preheated oven at 180c for 40 mins or untill done. This is surely going to be a hit at your breakfast table.
