jaggery sesame cookies

Ingredients

Whole wheat flour – 1 cup
Sesame seeds – 4tablespoon + for coating
Organic jaggery powder – 1/2 cup
Salted butter – 3 tablespoon
Ghee – 2 tablespoon
Dried ginger powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Cinnamon powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Baking soda – 1/8
Milk – 1/4 cup

Method

1.Dry roast 4 tablespoon Sesame seeds or til in a pan till it starts spluttering.
2. In a large bowl mix flour or organic jaggery powder, baking powder, soda, dry roasted sesame seeds or til, cinnamon powder, ginger powder .
3. Add ghee and salted butter.
4. Mix everything well with your fingers. When everything combined really well add milk and make a smooth dough.
5.Preheat oven at 160c.
6.Grease a baking tray or line with parchment paper.
7. Spread some sesame seeds or til on a plate.
8. Make small balls out of the dough. You can make 18 – 20 cookies from this dough.
9. Press the balls on the sesame seeds to coat well.
10.Bake it for 15-20 mins.
*let it cool down a little before storing.
