Orange cake

Ingredients

2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
pinch of salt
1 1/4 cups sugar
3/4 cup butter
zest of one orange
3 eggs
3/4 cups milk
ORANGE GLAZE
3/4 cup powdered sugar
juice half an orange
2 tablespoons sugar
juice of half an orange

Method

In a large bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar, add butter and cut in until mixture resembles coarse crumbs, then stir in the zest.
In a medium bowl with a whisk beat together the eggs and milk, then pour into the dry ingredients and stir together until just moist.(If you like more orange flavour add the juice of half an orange).Pour into prepared pan and bake for approximately 40-60 minutes. Check with a toothpick. Let cool completely before adding the glaze. Enjoy!In a small bowl whisk together until smooth the icing sugar and juice. (If you like it thicker add more sugar).
