In a bowl sift the flour and baking powder well .
In a separate bowl add sugar and oil. Using an electric mixer mix them well on high speed until the mixture twice its volume.
To the sugar-oil mixture, add eggs one at a time and beat it well with the electric mixer until well combined.. Add vanilla essence and mix again.
Add the flour mix in batches,mix gently using a spatula.
Add the milk to the batter and mix in gently,until the batter has no lumps.
Gently fold in the seedsinto the batter.keep some to sprinkle on the top.
Preheat oven at 180c,Transfer the batter to a 8’ inch cake pan . Bake @180C for 35-40 minutes or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
