Ingredients

1kg raw mangoes
1kg sugar
2tbsp salt
1tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
1tsp garam masala
2tsp roasted cumin powder
2 tbsp raisins
2tbsp dried coconut

Method

Wash, dry, peel and then grate the mangoes. Add all the ingredients except raisins and coconut to the grated mangoes, cover and keep aside for 3 hrs.On medium high heat cook the mixture, stirring continuously. When the mango shreds become soft and translucent, add a hand full of raisins and thinly sliced dry coconut. Stir for a minute and swich off the gas.Let it cool, store it in a clean and dry glass jar.
