Sharing a few secrets which will help you in the kitchen and make your life easier:
• To thicken your gravy, add roasted sattu to it. This will make gravy thicker and tastier.
• While making fritters, add a pinch of arrowroot and hot oil to the mixture. This will make fritters crisp.
• To keep Bhindi fresh in the refrigerator, apply til oil to it. It will stay fresh at least for a week.
• Don’t add salt to rajma and Dal while boiling. Add salt once dal is cooked.
• To make poori’s crispy, add one tsp semolina (sooji) or rice flour to it.
• Add 1tsp of lime juice to the rice while cooking, rice will spread nicely and will enhance the taste also.
• If you don’t have starter to set curd, keep green chilli in warm milk and curd will set nicely.
• For making cheelas of dal/besan, add 2tsp rice flour to it. Cheelas will be crispy.
• Keep some rice in your jar of salt during the rainy season, the salt will remain fresh always.
• While blanching spinach, add a pinch of sugar to it. Spinach will retain its green colour.
