Pan Fried Makhani Momos

Ingredients:

maida -200 gms
paneer – 250 gm
onions – 1/2 kg (finely chopped )
green chillies 3-4(finely chopped )
ginger optional

For gravy:

garlic – finely chopped- 2tsp
tomato puree (fresh) – one cup
cream – 1/2 cup
salt and red chilly powder – as per taste

Method:

Desi Momos:

Take maida in a bowl. Mix a pinch of salt. Make soft dough with your Hands. Now, roll it nicely and cut into small circles with a glass or katori. Now, for stuffing grate paneer. Add chopped onions, ginger, green chillies, salt and pepper. Now,take a circle of Dough in your left hand and put a spoonful of mixture in it. Now, use your right hand to fold it. Start from one corner , close it and keep stretching it from left to right taking small portions make pleats nicely. Now, steam in Momo stand for some time until it changes its colour little. Take a pan and shallow fry the Momos a little .

For Gravy:

Take little butter in a pan.Saute garlic. Add tomato puree and let it cook for some time until it leaves oil . Add some salt , red chilly powder and cream to it. If it is too thick, add little milk to dilute it.

Add pan fried momos to it and let the sauce cover momos nicely.

Your momos in makhani gravy are ready to serve . Hope you will like this desi version of momos.
