Method:
Beetroot Rice
In a pan, heat oil and cumin seeds , chopped onions , curry leaves and cook it till onions turn soft , add beetroot , 1 tsp salt , sambhar powder and cook for sometime. Add rice to it . Add coriander leaves , mix well and serve.
Sesame Rice
Dry roast all ingredients to make sesame powder i.e. chana dal, urad dal , red chillies . Grated coconut , cumin seeds , peanuts . Grind in blender and make a powder . Heat oil for tempering . Add mustard seeds and curry leaves . Add powder and rice and mix well . Serve it with some papad and pickle.
Spinach Rice
Make purée of 100gms spinach . Let it dry . Keep it aside.
Now take a heavy bottom pan. Heat oil . Add cumin seeds. Sauté ginger in it. Add salt , sambar powder, Garam Masala powder and mix well. Add spinach purée and cooked rice. Serve hot with papad and raita.
