Ingredients:

Idli rice-1cup

Ragi flour-1cup

Urad dal-1cup

Methi seeds-1/2tsp

Salt as needed

Soda bi carb-1/2tsp (if required)

Method:

Healthy kickstart

Wash and soak urad dal, rice and methi seeds for 6-7 hours separately.
Grind urad dal adding little water untill smooth.
grind rice also slightly coarse better.
now , add urad dal, ragi flour and rice batter and grind together.
add salt and mix well.leave it for 6-7 hours for fermentation.
If temperature is very low add soda otherwise it is not required.
our batter is ready now. Before pouring into idli vessel mix it well.
Pour a ladle of batter into moulds and place in idli cooker.
steam cook for 10 mins and serve hot with sambar or chutney of your choice.
