Ingredients:

Bajra-1/2cup
Moong dal (split)-1/2cup
Cumin seeds-1tsp
Ginger-1tsp(finely chopped)
Green chilli -1(finely chopped)
Ghee-2tbsp
Asafoetida-apinch
Water-4cups
Salt-as per taste

Method:

Warm & Nutritious

Grind bajra coarsely in a grinder. Cover it with drinking water .let it stay for 2-3 minutes or till all husk start floating on the top. Now drain the water n remove husk slowly. Repeat the same process 2-3 times. Wash dal also separately. Take a pressure cooker . Add 1tsp ghee. Add bajra , moong dal and salt and hing. . Cook it for 7-8 minutes. When pressure drops ,open the lid and stir well. Now, take a pan for tampering. Heat ghee . Add chopped ginger and green chilli to it. (You can add chopped veggies like onion , tomato,peas, carrot,cauliflower etc also) add cooked khichadi to it. Garnish with corriander leaves and serve hot.
*you can serve it with curd ,green chutney and kadhi also.
**bajra can be cooked without grinding also but it takes very long to cook . So it is better to split it and cook.
